Express Entry

Express Entry is Canada’s primary way of managing skilled worker applications through the three main economic class immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
For eligible candidates for Express Entry, we handle their profile on the federal government’s website. Candidates receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on age, education, language skills, work experience, and adaptability.
Approximately every two weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invite candidates with the highest CRS scores to apply for permanent residence. IRCC aims to process permanent residence applications in six months or less. Under its Immigration Levels Plan, Canada seeks to welcome more immigrants through Express Entry each year.
Express Entry
Step 1
Once we determine that a client qualifies under one of the above-mentioned economic programs, they must complete an online Express Entry profile and provide information based on their
- skills,
- work experience,
- language ability
- education, and
- other details that will be beneficial for the assessment
Client/ foreign nationals who meet the criteria of one of the above federal immigration programs will be admitted and accepted into a pool of candidates.
While in the pool, Aeopax Immigration will help the client create a job match that will help provide an opportunity to connect with eligible Canadian employers that are looking for their skills.
Step 2
Based on the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), the pool’s highest-ranking (highest score) candidates will be invited to apply for permanent residence. Candidates will be awarded points for a job offer, nomination from a province or territory, and/or skills and experience factors. These additional points will make a candidate rank high enough to be invited to apply at the next eligible round of invitations. Only the highest scores in the pool will be issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
If a foreign national is Invited to Apply, they will have 60 days to submit an online application for permanent residence. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada will process their application with all the necessary supporting documents in six months or less.
Suppose they do not receive an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence within 12 months of submitting an Express Entry profile. In that case, their profile expires in the pool, and the candidate may resubmit a new profile if they still meet the criteria.
